Meet WavePunk
Caleb “WavePunk” Simmons is an award-winning Rocket League commentator and esports host based in Los Angeles, California.
Caleb began casting Rocket league as a hobby on his Youtube channel after years of watching esports from the sidelines. A natural talent for the job and perfect timing saw Caleb quickly rise through the ranks of community commentators. When the official Rocket league Championship Series kicked of May 1st 2016, WavePunk casted the inaugural match. He is one of three people to have never missed a season of RLCS. Additionally, for the last four years, WavePunk hosts Twitch’s first-party tournament IP, Twitch Rivals. Through Twitch Rivals, WavePunk has experienced nearly all gaming communities on twitch. From League of Legends to Minecraft, from Speedrunners to Vtubers, Caleb has done it all.
In 2023, WavePunk was honored to be named Host of the Year by The Esports Awards.
Outside of esports, WavePunk is a classically trained and award winning guitarist and composer, a sketch artist, and a street car and sim-racing enthusiast.
